The conference will explore:
*  Public v. Private Sectors: What is the purpose of the GSEs, where are they most valuable, what sectors of the market are better left to private hands?
*  The Role of Investors: What is the role of investors in the markets? Whose capital is funding which sectors and why? Are the results logical and/or efficient? What is the role of the structured finance CDO market in channeling capital to the housing markets? 
*  Structural Economic Shifts: Is there a housing bubble? Are the fundamental structural changes in the mortgage market? Does the consumer view home ownership solely as a financing?
